David Leclapart farms three hectares in the Premier Cru village of Trépail within the Motagne de Reims. He chose to apply a biodynamic approach to his work in his vineyards. Léclapart does not use reserve wines therefore all the bottling’s are from a single vintage. He only uses indigenous yeasts, minimal sulphur and never adds dosage the finished wine. The Amateur is blended from five different parcels in Trépail, and is vinified entirely in enameled steel vats. It’s linear and racy, with crisp, flowery notes of apple and white peach.
