Winemaker Tim Manning has consistently made some of the finest wines to leave the Chianti Calssico region in centuries. He spent time as the winemaker for Il Borghetto in Chianti and currently is the winemaker in Maremma for Valdonica. Vinochisti is his new project where he makes wines the way he wants, from varietals and vineyards scattered throughout Italy. This is a bottling of sagrantino which sees 5 months of maceration, time in oak and 6 months in bottle. The vines are from the estate of Francesco Zolli, who farms traditionally. Dark fruit and elegant but with muscle.
